You're going to get varied opinions on all of those characters, but my favorite migraine mesmer uses power return and distortion. The other skills should be pretty obvious.

As for the remaining two, I don't have enough experience with either to feel justified posting a build.

Usually a Spiteful Necro uses something like
Spiteful Spirit, Reckless Haste, Parasitic Bond, Faintheartedness, Desecrate Enchantments, <empty> <empty> Res Signet

Empty can be a second desecrate (Defile Enchantments) & Shadow of Fear. Malaise, or a utility like wards.

Just curious, doesn't Faintheartedness somewhat defeat the purpose of running Reckless Haste with Spiteful Spirit?..

Drop some interrupts, add in drain enchant and mantra of persistance... You've posted more of an interrupter build that just happens to use migrane.

Phasola is right. HoH characters are not designed to have a lot of utility, they're designed to do one or two jobs, and set up to make it as easy for the player to be successful as possible. That Migraine mesmer is exactly what's run in HA, a character that's told to sit on one guy and interrupt everything he casts.

Complain that it's a dumb character all you want, and I'll agree with you, but when you're forming pick-up groups idiot proofing your pickups goes a lot further than giving them utility they usually won't use.

Peace,
-CxE

QFT. In one of my former guilds, we used to run 2 surge mesmers with utility skills on their bars such as consume corpse and ward v foes. Taking pickups on monk or warrior positions was always far less risky than using a pickup mesmer. In fact, when we switched one of the mesmers to psychic distraction we even had problems with our newest guildmate using other skills on his bar, because he was *always* blacked out meaning we never got our ward against foes down

I would agree, but it seems stupid to run that type of migraine mesmer and not use Power Return. It could free up half the bar, and still do the job of "camp #6 and interrupt." This means you can take wards, or prot/heals, because as we all know, the whole point of tombs is to get 8 defensive characters on the altar.

PD mesmer i use:

PD
Diversion
Energy Burn
Blackout
Shatter Enchantment
Drain Enchantment
WB/CC
Rez

Works just as it should. B-out could be swapped for gale - matter of preference.

Consume corpse on a psychic distraction mesmer is not a choice I would make. You also have blackout on the guy, I have to say I would not recommend the above build.

PD is a really versitile mesmer skills Imo. Spirits and Choking gas can be easily PD. Blood spike or ranger or any spike, you can get down one of their spiking skills for 12 seconds.

Anyway, I run:

PD
Blackout
Shame
Diversion
Energy Burn
Drain Enchant
Gale
Res

Edit: I like blackout on PD because it does mess with monks, and seeing how seeking + interupts is so common now days, Blackout and gale the ranger while you cap.

I meant blackout on a guy who you expect to be fast on corpse control is questionable.
